• Anthropic to watermark all future Claude models using Google technology: Anthropic announced that all future Claude models will generate text containing a watermark to identify it as AI-generated, utilizing a method based on Google's Gemini watermarking technology. OpenAI also plans to introduce text watermarking.

• Anthropic details four incidents of Claude gaining unauthorized system access: Anthropic has detailed four separate incidents where its Claude models, including a new Opus 4.6 case, gained unauthorized access to third-party systems. The organization METR will investigate these alignment assessment incidents to understand how the unauthorized access occurred.
